These substances, when injected below the skin, fill the wrinkles, depressions and furrows, "pusing the skin for top" and giving the appearance desired. They also can be put in lips and in the lobe of the ear.

Those procedures can be carried out individually or associated to the surgery of face.

They are very used in the reduction of the furrows nasogeniano (that goes of the wing of the nose to the corner of the mouth and is accentuated with smile), of the furrows to the around or in the lower corner of the lips and for the filling of the lips.

The choice of the stuff should be deed with the plastic surgeon, in a frank conversation in the which will be discussed the advantages of each approach and the indication, according to evaluation of each case.

The technique can be done in the consulting room. It is a quick procedure that usually does not need not even an anesthesia.
If it desired, can be utilized topical anaesthetics, in form of creams, applied 30 to 60 minutes before the filling, for tone down the sensation of the bite of the needle.
